BANDERA WINE ——— 3 March 2023

It may never rain in Southern California,

But girl, don’t they warn ya.

It snows, man, it snows.

There are towns in the San Gabriel Mountains of San Bernardino County of Southern California that have been pretty much cut off from the outside world for four days because of a massive snowfall. We can see the mountains from our current home.

Well, we are supposed to be in seventy degrees year round on our journey. Southern California has not cooperated…snow, sleet, high winds, clouds, fifty degrees during the day and below freezing at night. This is not what we signed up for!

The sun appeared today and the poppies out the front door put on a show for us as we enjoyed our morning coffee.

Spent some time in the afternoon doing a tasting and then enjoying a glass of the Churon Winery’s Bandera Red. How can one go wrong with a wine named after a Willie instrumental on his album Red Headed Stranger.

A table with a view.

Peace…Wanderers in Wonder.
