Out the Front Door…AM.

Out the Back Door…PM.

Sunning at the pool.

Look who greets one on the way into our park.

Mary Ann and Maureen. Maureen is the daughter of my Mom’s Best Friend For Life. Mom met Maureen’s mom, Delores, in a sandbox in Flatbush, NYC in 1927. They attended elementary school and high school together. After the War they both joined the Boomer exodus out of the city and landed in Massapequa Park, Long Island, NY…a half mile from each other where they lived, and raised a combined twenty-two children, for the rest of their very long lives.

A mock up of Erle Stanley Gardner’s study. Erle was from Temecula. He got kicked out of law school at the age of twenty. A year later, after reading the law on his own, he passed the California Bar. He practiced law for the next twenty years, writing in his spare time. His Perry Mason series became a major hit in print, radio and TV. Erle used much of his profits to start an innocence project in the 1940’s helping indigents accused of, or convicted of, crimes receive good legal representation long before the Supreme Court decided Gideon v. Wainwright.

In Temecula ‘Wine Country’.

Peace…Wanderers in Wonder.
