My brother-in-law Bill Thompson’s creation — The Gate — with his dog OZZY. The docents and smiths at the National Ornamental Museum were completely taken by Bill’s work…”stunning” was the oft repeated response. They would hire him in a heartbeat but as Bill says, “done working for wages”. Bill has another claim to fame. He was part of a U.S./French crew which restored the Statue of Liberty in the 1980’s. The pictures Bill has of him and his fellow workers hanging from ropes as they repair holes and replace sheet metal on the outside of Statue dangling above the NY harbor are amazing.

Peace…Wanderers in Wonder.
